Your main breaker has a built-in safety feature designed to disconnect your system during a major catastrophic event. Unfortunately, breakers react slowly. With clean volt installed, our unique technology has the ability to attract and hold this major event, giving enough time for your main overcurrent to perform its function and trip, disconnecting your system from the incoming event similar to how utilities are protecting their equipment.
As long as the breaker is in the ‘on’ position the Clean Volt device is active. It takes a major event to destroy your Clean Volt device. This makes it critical to ensure that if your Clean Volt device ever trips the breaker it is connected to that you contact your installing electrician.
